First, make sure it's your recipe and that no one else owns it. Once you are sure you won't get accused of plagiarism compile all your recipes into a single form of sorts (like a cook book) Have them all ready to go in a single form, this will save you money on copyrighting the contents all together, rather than paying for copyrights on your individual recipes.

    • 2

Submit your cookbook or collection of recipes for copyrighting. Go to copyright.gov for more information. Read everything carefully and know what you're doing and how much it's going to cost before you proceed with the copyrighting process.

Now that your creations have been copyrighted, decide how you want to market them. While you could give them away on a website (such as ehow.com) and make money through advertising (see my article on making money online by writing on ehow), however you will make far more by actually selling your book rather than through ad-driven traffic.

While you could sell your cook book physically, that can be a very expensive and time consuming process (although it can be affordable with print-on-demand publishers which I cover in one of my other articles) -The most efficient and likely lucrative way for you to make money with your cook book is to sell it as an ebook. So, that is the route we are going to cover in this article for making money off of your recipes.

Complete this step by creating an ebook (a digital text document usually in a .pdf, .txt or other largely compatible format -in some cases even html.

Finally, once you have written up your digital cookbook ebook, it's time to find a way to sell it. You can promote it yourself, like on a web site, for instance, but I recommend you go one step further and have other people promote on your behalf. To my knowledge and experience, the best of the best in the digital products market is clickbank. Click the link below further down the page under 'resources' to check out clickbank and start an ebook publisher' s account. By starting an account with clickbank, you can have ton's of people working hard for a commission of sales they make on your cook book. You set the price and the percent of commission, and the rest is mostly automated. It's really easy. Read everything carefully -there is a fee for selling an ebook, but with as many excellent promoters out there selling your cookbook -you should make your money back faster than you may expect.

And it doesn't have to stop there, write another cook book -a niche cook book, once you write and successfully sell your first ebook -you'll see why it has become such a popular means of trade. It's a cheaper for both parties, and is an instant way to exchange valuable (or tasty) information!

Keep inventing new recipes!!!! And eat them to make sure they are worth buying!!!!

      Good luck!!!!

Tips & Warnings

  • Research how to make a quality ebook, so you earn a good reputation -who knows -if someone is happy with the ebook you made -chances are they will buy from you again. There are ton's of high quality ebooks out there, so keep quality and competition in mind!

  • Don't give up!!!! You can make a whoooole lot of money doing this!!!!

  • Since you're cookbook is digital (ebook) keep it cheap -it's not like you're going to run out of stock!!!! (yay- no printing costs!!!!)

  • Check out the links below and learn even more!!!!

  • Read all agreement carefully and follow the rules!!!!

  • Don't over price your ebook -it's better to sell them at fair prices and earn a name for yourself -while selling a lot of them; Rather than only selling a few at expensive prices.
