This is an easy way to remove red wine from your carpet immediately after you have spilled it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Table salt, vaccume and damp cloth.
  1. Step 1

Once you have served red wine at a dinner party, there is more than likely going to be a spill of some sorts. All you need on hand is table salt, a vacuum and warm damp cloth.

  2. Step 2

Pour a large pile of table salt directly onto the red wine spill. Allow the salt to absorb the wine and then vacuum the salt. Continue this process until you no longer are pulling the red color into the salt from your carpets, continue to vacuum the salt up carefully.

  3. Step 3

Most of the stain will be removed if not all of it. If you still have some color, try salt again until the salt no longer picks up the color. Once the salt no longer picks the color up, vacuum the remaining salt and dab you carpet with a warm damp cloth to finish the job. Your carpet should be wine stain free!
