Make Frozen Coconut Cake
Make Frozen Coconut Cake

This is a recipe for frozen coconut cake. It takes 4 or 5 days until this is ready to eat so you must have patience. It is however worth the wait!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 packages (6oz.) of frozen coconut
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 white cake mix
  • 1 (4oz.) tub Cool Whip
  1. Step 1

Mix the 2 packages of frozen coconut, 2 cups sugar, and 1 cup sour cream together until blended.

  2. Step 2

Take 1 cup of mixture and set aside for icing. Put both the 1 cup of icing and mixture inside fridge and let stand for 24 hours.

  3. Step 3

After 24 hours mix a plain white cake mix(brand does not matter) following directions on back of cake mix box. Bake in two (2) 8" layer pans at temperature the box calls for.

  4. Step 4

After cake is cooled you need to cut cake so that it goes into 4 layers. Fill layers with the mixture from out of the fridge.

  5. Step 5

Next take the 1 cup of icing and mix it with a 4oz. tub of Cool Whip. Icing cake with this mixture. Sprinkle cake with coconut all over tops and sides so it is covered.

  6. Step 6

Put cake in fridge and let it stand for 4 to 5 days. Cake must be covered.
    Enjoy!
