Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Voter's Registration Card
  1. Step 1

    In order to vote, you must comply with the following:

    - Be at least 18 years of age;
    - Be a resident of the State in which you live; and
    - Be a U.S. Citizen

  2. Step 2

    There is no waiting period to be eligible to register to vote. If you move to another County, Borough, or State, you may register to vote as soon as you move into your new home.

  3. Step 3

    Register to vote:

    - in person or by mail, by completing a mail-in registration form and delivering it/mailing it to your local election office, or
    - at any registration event in your City or Town, or
    - when applying for or renewing your driver license at the Registry of Motor Vehicles or when applying for service at a designated voter registration agency.

Tips & Warnings
  • Registration forms are also available at all colleges, universities, high schools and vocational schools.
  • Contact your local Elections Department if you have questions regarding voting and/or your registration status.
  • Contact the Elections Department if your name or address has changed so they can update their records.
  • Go out and vote! Be heard!
  • Please ensure that you follow Election Rules and Regulations in your State.
  • Check for registration deadline dates to make sure you are registered to vote correctly and on time.
