Things You'll Need:
- Clear plastic CD-shaped thingy that comes in your pack of blank CDs
- Old Christmas cards
- Glue
- String, ribbon, or raffia
- Sparkly pipe cleaner (optional)
-
Step 1
This is the Clear Plastic CD Thingy to Which I am ReferringFind an old holiday card with an appealing image. Using the clear CD, trace a circle around the image, and cut it out. Repeat this with another image.
-
Step 2
Place one card image face down on the table. Glue a small ribbon onto the card (this will be used to hang the ornament).
-
Step 3
Apply glue to the back side of the other card image, and glue the two cards together, so that the decorative sides are visible.
-
Step 4
Apply a thin line of clear-drying glue around the edges of each card image, and sandwich them between the two CDs. (Let one side dry before gluing the other side on).
-
Step 5
If you want to further conceal the glue lines, you can glue something such as a sparkly pipe cleaner around the outside edge of each CD.

on 12/31/2008 I did this one year using photos and cards, and they were fun, and easy enough for a five year old to make them with me. Great idea for a Christmas article and craft. Good photo too.
