They are many universities and colleges worldwide offering a variety of degree courses, however choosing the right university or college is very important because this will determine how marketable you are. Here are some tips and how you can choose the right university or college.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Know who you are and what you are expecting from your prospective university or college.

  2. Step 2

Know which course you like to do before you start searching. Its sensly to start searching and you don't know what you like to do.

  3. Step 3

Do not choose a university or college just because your friends or someone you know went there.

  4. Step 4

When choosing a university or college don't just choose one because the name is popular

  5. Step 5

Do some research on the different universities or colleges offering the course you like to do and choose the best ones before coming to a final conclusion.

  6. Step 6

before you make the final conclusion take into consideration the cost of the program, the length, accreditation, resources you'll have access to, the requirements for taking that course and the course description. This will help you to choose the best one for YOU.

  7. Step 7

Discuss your options with your family, your counselor (if you have one), and others who know you well and whose judgment you value

  8. Step 8

After you finalize your top choice(s) (its always best to have at least three university or college you would like to attend) send in your application letter.

discuss your options with your family, your counselor (if you have one), and others who know you well and whose judgment you value

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you research your choice(s) thoroughly before applying.
  • If you don't feel that a university or college is not right for you, don't apply
  • If you request more information online or send them on email and them do not respond within one week to two week (depending on how they are to respond, if its through the mail give them around 1 week), forget about them.
  • Do not send them money without being sure one hundred percent that they are not a scam and the choice you made is the right one
