Things You'll Need:
- A "calm down" technique
-
Step 1
SAUCE BURNT IN PAN- Without stirring... quickly empty your sauce into a new pan and keep it off of heat... you will need to taste the sauce to see if it tastes burnt... but this will usually fix the problem!
-
Step 2
RUNNY ICING- Add more sugar to the recipe... if you need to divide the icing into 2 parts and just add sugar to one of them so you will be sure not to run out of sugar.
-
Step 3
CAKE STUCK IN PAN- Return your cake to the oven for a few minutes, just to heat it up a bit... Remove and set on a cool wet kitchen towel or cool wet paper towels... now you may remove the cake :) Next time use more No-Stick solution!
-
Step 4
EGG SEPERATION- If you have separated your egg and some of the yolk has mixed... use the egg shell to scoop out what you can... the yolk will cling to the shell better than a spoon.
-
Step 5
TOO SALTY SOUP- Unfortunately you are going to have to add more of all of the other ingredients to fix this problem. Try adding more of the broth and stronger seasonings and testing the flavor to save you some ingredients!
-
Step 6
BROKEN COOKIES- The only way to fix this is to turn your cookies into another dessert... try using them as a topping.
-
Step 7
BROKEN CAKE- Use frosting as glue to piece everything back together... OR use the same advice from BROKEN COOKIES.
-
Step 8
MUSHY VEGGIES- Put these in the blender with some seasonings and butter and turn it into a sauce.... or babyfood :) You can also use the puree to enhance soup flavoring!
-
Step 9
CANDY WON'T HARDEN- The only way to get your candy to "set" is to keep it hot and boiling.. this will remove the excess water and your candy will set.
-
Step 10
CHUNKY GRAVY- Use a strainer and strain into another pot.
