Things You'll Need:
- Chocolate Chips
- Butter
- 1 cup water
- large saucepan
- smaller saucepan
-
Step 1
Bring 1 cup of water to a simmer in the larger saucepan.
-
Step 2
Put the butter in the smaller saucepan and place the smaller saucepan in the larger saucepan as shown. Use approx one Tbsp of butter per ice cream serving that you anticipate. If you're unsure, make too much : )
-
Step 3
When the butter has melted, add 1/4 cup of chocolate chips per anticipated serving to the small saucepan.
-
Step 4
Stir the mixture constantly as the chocolate melts into the butter. Don't let the chocolate mixture simmer or boil.
-
Step 5
When the mixture is completely smooth, spoon the chocolate onto the ice cream as desired. The mixture will begin to harden instantly. Keep any remaining sauce on low heat; someone will surely want seconds.
