Things You'll Need:

• Computer
• Internet connection
• College text books
• ISBN number
• Pen and paper

1. Gather all your old text books that you want to sell. Check their condition. If the text book is too battered, then you don’t have a sellable book.

2. 
   Text book ISBN number

   If you have a lot of text books, locate the ISBN number of each and jot them down on a piece of paper.

3. Visit the sites listed below and enter the ISBN numbers in their search field. You will get an instant quote if they have a demand for your particular text book

4. Write down the buy quote for each of the websites and compare the bids. As you’re doing this make a note of each site’s payment policy, how they pay and payment turnaround, and if they will pay for shipping.

5. 
   Shipping your text books

   Once you’ve decided which online book buyer you wish to sell your text books to, box up your books and send them off in the manner prescribed on the company’s website. Then, get paid!

Tips & Warnings

• These book buying companies will buy books only for which there is a current demand. If you get a reject the first time and your book is fairly current, then try again at a later date.
• Keep your shipping receipt and make sure to follow up on your payment if you do not receive it in the specified time period.

on 12/3/2008 you can also sell them through Amazon -- you list them there and keep them until someone orders them -- Amazon takes care of all the billing stuff (for a fee) but also adds on an amount to cover postage - -- really a hassle free way to do it. Amazon pays you --
