Hamsters are basically the most easy pets to look after.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • food
  • bedding (IMPORTANT! no cedar)
  • wheel
  • ball
  • treats
  • toys
  • food bowl
  • house or toilet tube :)
  1. Step 1

When prchasing a hamster make sure you get a good one. Once you get it, you have to look after it. If you want small, go with the dwarfs, as they only grow to about 3-4 inches. The Syrians however, grow to about 8-9 inches

  2. Step 2

Purchase all the things that you need (see above). Ideally, the food should be assorted. You might also want to use gloves (not recommended, but may be necessary as hamsters will get thread between their teeth).

  3. Step 3

You should change its food once every 3 days, or whenever it is empty. Clean its cage once every 4 days, and change the water once every 4 days too, or when its empty. Clean the food bowl whenever you are going to put more food in it. Also wash the wheel THOROUGHLY every 4 days.

  4. Step 4

If your hamster seems shy, let it assimilate with its surroundings for a few days. Sometimes, feed it from your hand, as it will associate treats with your scent and (hopefully) start to trust you
