How to make money blogging!

Blogging is one of my favorite ways to make a little extra cash. Many people ask how you can make money blogging and the answer is actually not that hard!

1. First you need to create a blog. There are many free blog sites, but my favorite is Blogger. Blogger is user friendly and the easiest site I have found for beginners, it walks you through each step.

2. Next pick a topic. You can write about anything you want. Some popular topics are electronics, finances, celebrities, TV, movies, and even just a general blog.

3. Then start writing. At least write 1 post a day, but the more you write the more people will visit your blog. You want to make sure it's good content. That means write like you are talking to your readers. Ask them questions and try to engage them in conversations.

4. Network with other bloggers. There are numerous sites that allow you to network with other people who blog. The point of this is to get more readers to your blog. You can join sites like Blog Catalog and My Blog Log that allows people to follow your blog. Also Entrecard is popular right now and it will draw more traffic.

5. Open a free Feedburner account. Feedburner is a must for all blogs. It keeps track of people who subscribe to your blog and how many people have read it that day. It also does what's called "ping" for your site. This sends updates when you post new content to the most popular places.

6. Join sites that allow people to rate your blog. These again are all free. Some of the most popular ones are Stumble Upon, Digg, and Technorati.

7. Now it's time to monetize your blog. Add affiliate sites. Some of the big ones are Google Adsense and Amazon. These allow you to earn money from people clicking on the links on your blog.

8. While affiliate sites can earn money, most bloggers earn the majority of their money by writing reviews. There are many sites that allow you to submit your blog and pay you to write a short review. A few of my favorites are Pay Per Post, Today, Review Me, and Pay U 2 Blog. information.

• Keep writing

• Be patient, some sites require your blog to be 30 to 90 days old before you can begin writing reviews

• Visit other people's blog and comment, most bloggers will return the favor

• Keep it simple. most people don't read blog posts that are really long

• Be creative. There is no right or wrong if you let your personality show through your writing you will succeed

• Don't copy other people's work!

• If you need to use a picture from someone or want to link to their content ASK 1st!

• Always give credit where credit is due! When using someone else's work you should link it back to them and give them credit!
