Want a new twist on old navy beans. We had to bring a dish to a potluck so I was experimenting and to my surprise it was a hit!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • old navy beans
  • sauce pan
  • crock pot
  • ham
  • brown sugar
  • water
  1. Step 1

Take one bag of old navy beans and soak in cold water over night. Drain the water and rinse them off then put them in a sauce pan add water and boil for the specified time.

  2. Step 2

Now place the cooked navy beans and water in the crock pot then add more water. Turn the crock pot on high add your precooked ham now add 1-1 1/2 cups of brown sugar and stir. Cook the beans on high for about 6-8 hours checking periodically to add water if needed.

  3. Step 3

Turn the heat down to low and cook for another day adding water as needed and brown sugar as needed. Now your done enjoy your beans serve with whatever else you desire.
