I love sweet and sour gravy on my strudel. Not the sweet strudel but a dumpling kind of strudel made with yeast.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • onion
  • potato water
  • vinegar
  • sugar
  • wondra or flour
  • whisk
  • frying pan
  1. Step 1

After you saute your onion and boiling potatoes add 3-4 cups water in the frying pan. Now add either your wondra or add flour a couple of tablespoons at a time stirring constantly over low heat.

  2. Step 2

After you get it to the desired thickness add a tablespoon at a time of vinegar taste to test for the sour taste, then add sugar a tablespoon at a time keep stirring taste til you get that sweet and sour taste just to your liking.

  3. Step 3

If you have lumps you can strain the gravy through a hand held strainer it will be a bit hard with bits of onions in there though but press it through. Now you can pour that gravy on whatever you like.
