Things You'll Need:
- Vitamin C
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin E
-
Step 1
Make Vitamin C a part of your daily diet if you come from a family with a history of breast cancer. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps destroy free radicals.Try Vitamin C in crystalline form.
-
Step 2
Vitamin D may help inhibit cancer cell growth. Take no more than 600IU each day, since Vitamin D is stored in the body.
-
Step 3
Reduce the risk of developing lumps in the breast with Vitamin E. 100IU are recommended for two weeks and then, if you have no rise in blood pressure, increase the dosage to 200IU.
-
Step 4
Add Selenium to your diet. Another antioxidant, selenium works best when taken with Vitamin E.
-
Step 5
Keep essential fats in your diet when you're at risk for breast cancer. While saturated fats might harm the body, essential fats (the good fats) are necessary for maintaining healthy breasts. Make sure you don't eat extra sugars, though.
-
Step 6
Eat your fish or at least take a fish oil supplement (EPA). You may also take evening primrose oil. Skip eating oils by frying foods in them. Bake or broil your meats.
-
Step 7
Remember to add lots of fiber to your diet. Fiber is connected to the binding ability of estrogen and may decrease the risk of breast cancer.
