The casino game of 21 or Blackjack has the best odds for the player. It is a simple proposition: You place a money bet. The dealer deals you 2 cards and deals himself 2 cards. You are betting your cards are closer to 21 than the dealers'.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A grubstake allowing you to play 15 hands at the level of play you desire. If you are betting $5 per hand, you need $75.
  1. Step 1

Unless your 2 cards add to Eleven or less, do not HIT or take another card when the dealer shows 5 or 6. These are bust cards for the dealer.

  2. Step 2

Always Double Down (place an extra bet behind your bet) for one extra card only when you have Eleven. Especially when the dealer shows 2 through 7. You are more likely to hit a 20 or 21 with a double down on Eleven.

  3. Step 3

Always SPLIT (you can separate pairs) ACES and Eights. . . particularly when dealer shows 2 through 7.
