When trying to teach someone how to tri-fold a towel, it can be confusing. These easy steps are great for teaching children when they start helping with laundry. This is also for those who may be going off to college or off to live on their own and need to know how to fold a towel...

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a load of towels
  1. Step 1

    ~Spread it out~

Spread the towel out over a surface such as the floor, the couch, or your lap.

  2. Step 2

    ~Fold it in half~

Fold the towel in half “hamburger style” so that it is fatter than it is longer.

  3. Step 3

    ~Fold in half again~

Fold it in half again so that it looks like a fourth of what you began with.

  4. Step 4

    ~Fold up~

Fold the towel up from the bottom so that the bottom of this fold is cutting the towel in half.

  5. Step 5

    ~Fold up again~

Fold up once more to create the tri-fold.

Now finish the rest of the load!

Tips & Warnings
  • Wash towels separate from clothing. The fuzzies will get on the clothes and potentially ruin them.
  • The towels could be very hot depending on your dryer settings so let them sit a minute to cool a little. Then, they will be nice and toasty.
