Things You'll Need:
- A computer, a high speed internet line, a motivation of learning more, feeling the need to upgrade/modify things so they work the way you want it to work, not the way it works by itself.
-
Step 1
Get a computer. This will be your window to information which you will acquire via the internet. However this information has to be very specific, you may be a geek when it comes to televisions, sound systems and computers to name a few, but people always refer to computer techs as Geeks. There is a difference between a computer technician and a geek.
-
Step 2
A geek has a passion for computers, gaming on computers, repairing computers, ordering parts online and fitting that part in on their computer, reading news on computers and basically spends a big chunk of the day being around computers. These people are low level geeks, however the REAL geeks are the true geniuses of our time.
-
Step 3
A REAL geek not only possesses the qualities of a low level geek, but a REAL geek usually works on the Linux operating system. Now REAL geeks do not, I repeat do not use something previously made for their own use, they may, but REAL geeks see places that needs to be improved on previously release software or games and develop a software or game with those improvements. These geeks spend hours developing and creating. Geeks possess qualities of engineers, architects, and law enforcers just to name a few and combine all the traits into something important and usable.
-
Step 4
Programming is a must know for Geeks, JAVA, C, C++, C#, Python, Cobra, Ruby are just a few examples of the programming languages known by major Geeks. It is very usual for Geeks to have expertise in more than one programming language. So learn programming so you can develop.
-
Step 5
Learn how to hack, how to prevent hacking, how to regulate internet security, how to implement security, develop security softwares, and major GEEks always watch out for the benefit of the computer world.
