Do you long for a house in the country? Learn about country living!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Visit http://www.ecountrylifestyle.com/ (a clickable link is provided at the end of this article).

  2. Step 2

    Create an account.

  3. Step 3

Make friends in the community forums. Ask questions about country living.

  4. Step 4

Read the tips in the forums. There are tips on everything from canning to country cooking.

  5. Step 5

Read the articles in some of their online magazines. "Horse Tales" is one of them.

  6. Step 6

Next, visit http://www.kountrylife.com/ (a clickable link is provided at the end of this article). Register there, as well.

  7. Step 7

Hang out in the forums a few months before you take the country plunge. Are you reading more postive or more negative posts regarding the country lifestyle?

  8. Step 8

Try, especially, to make a few friends in the area you'd like to move to. Find out things like how far it is to the hospital and the grocery store. Are there restaurants nearby or will you have to cook your own meals all of the time? Can you adapt to country living after a lifetime of city convenience? How about your kids? Will they be able to handle not having a mall ten minutes away? Perhaps they can, if they have a few horses to ride!

  9. Step 9

You should now be ready to make an informed decision. I know you'll choose the right one for you and your family!
