How to Find Cheap Junior and Women's Clothes

Exhilarate yourself with a bargain on new clothes.

Many women often spend beyond their means when trying to keep up with the latest fashion trends. But there is no need to pay full price for fashionable women and junior clothing. With Internet deals, discount outlets, department store clearance rounders and second-hand stores, buying inexpensive women's clothing is easier than ever, whether it's for adults or kids. The key is knowing where to look and when to shop.

   Clothes at discount giants are not department store rejects.

   Visit discount stores such as Loehmann's and Marshalls where the price of new, in-style merchandise is slashed considerably. These stores buy directly from vendors, not retail stores, which means they offer the same quality clothing that are in department stores. Buy irregular-marked clothing with confidence because most flaws are not noticeable to the eye.

2. 

   You may have to dig through thrift stores to find the right item.

   Shop at thrift stores and Good Will, for example, where fashionistas give a shirt away after wearing it for one season. Seek out clothes with tags attached. People clean out closets and give away clothes they know they will never wear. Shop consignment when you want high-end name brands at a huge discount. Consignment clothes are generally name brand as people are not so willing to donate pants they paid a lot of money for.

   Surf the Internet to find exclusive deals.

   Search for Internet deals. Use a search engine to type a name brand and "cheap clothing." Some sites, such as Overstock.com, also offer cheap or free shipping. In addition, go directly to a store's website and sign up for sale notifications. Many retailers allow you to customize email updates and newsletters to your preferences and offer online-only deals. Use coupon sites, such as Retailmenot, to obtain discount codes used for Internet purchases and sign up at Groupon.com to receive local clothing discounts.

4. 

   Don't shy away from department stores.

   Check out the clearance sales at department stores and wait until the actual season to purchase your desired clothes. Stores buy merchandise months in advance and then display it before the season even arrives. By the time the clothing is relevant, it is already marked down to make room for next season's merchandise.

5. Visit mass retail stores such as Kmart and Wal-Mart, and Target. Target has apparel partnerships with clothing giants Mossimo, Cynthia Rowley and Isaac Mizrahi. Juniors desire these designer names and can obtain them at a fraction of the cost.

   Drive by first to see if there are women's and junior's clothing.

   Scout bargains on eBay and at garage sales in your area. eBay sellers buy bulk clothing items at a huge discount and then pass the savings on to you by starting the bidding low. Also, take advantage of garage sale sellers wanting to make a quick buck. Shop late in the day when sellers are more eager to clear their inventory.

• Give your contact information to your favorite retail boutique store. Ask them to contact you when they are having a sale. Try to shop off-season.

• Customer service is hard to find in second-hand stores.

• Thrift stores usually only have one size of each piece of clothing.

• Find out about return policies for second-hand stores.

• Check clothing carefully for stains.
