How to Replace Bike Brake Cable

Steps to replace brake cable

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

1. Undo the bolt that clamps in the cable at the brake.

2. Pull the brake lever and loosen the cable.

3. Apply some lubricant to the new inner cable.

4. Depress the brake lever and insert the cable.

5. Route the inner cable.

6. Clamp the end of the inner cable in at the termination point on the brake.
