Have you found yourself stuck in a rut, making the same meals week after week and feeling like you've forgotten that there are options other than spaghetti for dinner? Here is a fun way to get your family to help you make your next grocery list.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • paper
  • pencils
  1. Step 1

Give each family member a pen and paper. If you have a child too young to write, you can sit with them and write for them.

  2. Step 2

Tell them to list at least 5 of their favorite meals on the paper. Tell them it can't be something they've eaten this week. It can be something they've never had, but have seen it on tv or heard someone talking about it.

  3. Step 3

You now have many new dinner ideas to choose from. Let them all know that you will be picking at least one of their ideas for this weeks dinner. Depending on how many people are in your family, you may use 2 or 3 of their ideas.

  4. Step 4

Be sure to save each of the lists for future reference!

Tips & Warnings
  • Another good idea is to let your children help you prepare the dinners that they selected! When they help make it, they're more likely to eat it all!!!
