This is my grandma's secret to the lightest mashed potatoes you've ever had.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • cooked potatoes
  • pot they cooked in
  • butter, milk, broth, seasons (whatever you want to use)
  • potatoe masher or electric beaters
  1. Step 1

Cook the potatoes until they're soft and then drain. Turn off burner. Add butter, milk or broth to the pan the potatoes were cooked in. Add potatoes to the pan and season.

  2. Step 2

Whip potatoes with electric beaters or potato masher.

  3. Step 3

Put lid on pan and leave sitting on still warm (but turned off!) burner for 5-10 minutes. When you take the lid off you will have the fluffiest potatoes you've ever had. Guaranteed!
