Step 1
Ice PackApply ice to the pain:
An ice pack to the head or back of the neck can relieve tension and pain. -
Step 2
Treat yourself to a massage:
Apply gentle pressure to the area in pain with your thumb or index finger for 7-15 seconds, then release. Ask someone to massage your neck and back. -
Step 3
Rest:
Take a warm shower, bath, nap, or even a walk. Relax in a low lit room. Meditate and release the tension in your neck, back, and shoulders.
