Learn how to make an easy crockpot dish that will keep you warm throughout the winter months.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • whole chickren (cornish hens can be used as well
  • 3 carrots
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 1 can of cream of chicken or cream of celery soup
  • chicken broth
  • garlic salt
  • fresh oregano
  • black pepper
  • 6 red potatoes
  • dried rosemary
  • whole cloves
  • small onion
  1. Step 1

    Take your celery, potatoes and carrots, wash them thoroughly in the sink. After your cleaned your vegetables, cut them into small cubes and place in the bottom of the crockpot.

  2. Step 2

    Take a small onion and cut it into fine slices. Once you're done this, take the onion and crockpot on top of your vegetables. Then pour 1/2 cup of chicken broth into the pot.

  3. Step 3

    Wash your chicken (or Cornish hen) and remove the skin. Dry your meat with a paper towel and place it to the side. Take 1/2 tsp. of black pepper, 1 tbsp. of garlic salt and 1 tbsp. of rosemary and mix it in a shallow bowl. Take your meat and roll it in the bowl, covering it entirely with the mixture.

  4. Step 4

    Pour 1 can of cream of chicken or cream of celery into the pot. Then place your chicken on top of the pot and cover with 3/4 cup of oregano leaves. Cover with the appropriate lid and turn to low, cooking for 6 hours. Your chicken will be tender, juicy and full of favor.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not rush the cooking of this meal. Slow cooking on low speed provides the best results.
