Drink plenty of water and eat well-balanced meals throughout the day to keep your body functioning at its best. Dizziness can be caused by severe dehydration or malnutrition and hypoglycemia.

Engage in exercises to overcome dizziness. These can be done in several positions, including sitting, standing and walking.

While sitting, try to practice exercises with your eyes, head and shoulders. Move your eyes slowly at first, then more quickly. Move your eyes up and down, then side to side and repeat this exercise several times. Focus on your finger held at arm's length.
Head exercises can be done slowly then quickly. Move your head in a circular motion clockwise followed by anticlockwise rotation. Shrug your shoulders and rotate the shoulder blades several times, repeat the sequence several times.
Rotate your head, shoulder and trunk with your eyes open, then follow the procedure with your eyes closed.

Walk across the room with your eyes closed and then repeat with your eyes open to help alleviate dizziness. Another way is to stand on one foot with your eyes open, then follow it with your eyes closed.
