Step 1
Solar-Powered String LightsSolar powered string lights can look just like regular lights but does not need a electrical outlet. They can be found at most major lawn and garden stores. After the season is over you may leave them up all year for additional outdoor lighting.

Step 2
Solar Christmas StatueBefore purchasing a lighted statue for Christmas or any other season look at your solar powered options. Statues come with there own many power source so you can forgo any eclectic wiring. They are available in a variety of price ranges and sizes, find them in specialty lawn and garden websites and some large stores such as Lowe's and Home Depot. One of my favorite is Rudolf, when the sun goes down his nose lights up. Rudolf can be found at improvementscatalog.com.

Step 3
Solar Christmas WreathsSolar powered Christmas wreaths can add a little holiday cheer to any space that gets a little sun. Pre-strung holiday wreaths can be expensive but one can be easily made with low cost kits and old wreaths. My favorite place to shop for solar power wreaths is solarsanta.com.
