Host A Baby Shower (For A Expecting Mother Who Already Has Children) With Proper Etiquette

Do you need to know how to host a baby shower for someone who already has children while using the proper etiquette? Well look no further, we have your answer!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper & Pen to write down what the expecting mothers needs for the new baby that she does not already have.
  • An expecting mother ;-)
  1. Step 1

Find out what the expecting mother may need that she does not have for the new baby. Usually larger items ex: crib, stroller, changing table, are not needed. Where smaller items used frequently would be helpful and appreciated like Diapers, burp cloths, bottles, etc.

  2. Step 2

Register the mommy-to-be at your local baby store; Babies R Us, Target, etc.. So the guests will know what she needs vs. purchasing items she may already have.

  3. Step 3

If guests ask for gift ideas other than registered items let them know gifts for mommy-to-be would be welcome to :-) Ideas for the mommy-to-be would be a new night gown for her hospital stay, a new overnight bag to pack her things in, Bath & body items, etc...

  4. Step 4

Send out invitations to the guests and let them know the mommy-to-be is registered for everyone's convenience. Also include the option to purchase something for the mommy-to-be in the invitation. The guests will be grateful for the heads-up!

Sit back and enjoy the party you planned and put together ;-)

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to find out what the mommy-to-be has and does not have for the new baby. If it has been many years in-between birthing, she may be starting over fresh and new.
  • Be sure to register the baby shower to help the guests keep from guessing what to buy for mommy and baby.
