How to Make Yorkshire Pudding.

Yorkshire pudding is a traditional English accompaniment to roasts. It makes a nice change from the usual potatoes, rice, or noodles.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup beef dripping
  1. Step 1

    blend together the flour and salt.

    VERY slowly add the milk. You must add very gradually or there will be lumps.

  2. Step 2

    Add the eggs and beat with a blender or egg beater for two minutes.

    Cover bowl and chill for 20 minutes in refrigerator.

    Heat oven to 425 degrees.

  3. Step 3

    Pour the beef dripping into an 8 inch pan.

    Place pan in oven until dripping begin to sizzle.

    Quickly pour the egg mixture over the dripping and return to oven.

  4. Step 4

    Lower oven to temperature to 375 degrees.

    Bake for 50 minutes or until pudding is puffed and crisp.

    Serve with roast.

    Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • You can divide the dripping among 8 LARGE muffin pans. Bake these for about 30 minutes.
