Things You'll Need:
- email address
- phone number you do not want called anymore, you may have up to 3 numbers
-
Step 1
Everyday telemarketer's call someone's home. Doing a survey or asking your advice or wanting you to buy something. Some of these calls come from things we sign up for and others are not.
-
Step 2
If the preference is to not get calls then this article was made for just that. I will place two pieces of information related to signing up for this program, ran by the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Communications Commission.
-
Step 3
The site is easy to use, all you do is go to www.donotcall.gov or below in the resource section as well. Sign up with the phone number up to three are allowed, and you input your email address. As a tip make sure you check your email because if you do not verify it in 72 hours your number will not be added to the list. The email will come from this address Register@donotcall.gov.
-
Step 4
Also this law went into effect in February 2008. However, the telemarketers have 31 days to receive your phone number as a do not call one.

on 11/2/2008 Good info! And remember to re-do your no-call status every 3 months or really keep off those annoying lists!
