How to make just about any type of cobbler easily.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • One cup (pre-sifted) self rising flour
  • One cup of sugar
  • One cup of milk
  • One stick of butter or margarine
  • Three cans (16 oz) of peaches in heavy syrup, cherries, blueberries, or any other type of fruit. Frozen berries can be used but must be combined with a cup of light corn syrup and one cup milk
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Step 2

Melt one stick of butter or margarine in a microwave safe bowl until completely melted.

  3. Step 3

Spray pan (13x9") with cooking spray.

  4. Step 4

Pour fruit into pan. Add melted butter and mix gently.

  5. Step 5

On the side, mix flour and sugar together. Add milk to mixture and mix well.

  6. Step 6

Pour flour, sugar, and milk mixture over the butter and fruit mixture. This works best if you use a zigzag pattern.

  7. Step 7

Bake for forty-five minutes or until top of cobbler has many dark brown spots on it.

  8. Step 8

Let cool for about ten minutes, then enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • If you would like the bread portion of the cobbler to be "heavy" then do not pre-sift the flour.
  • Cobbler will be hot!
