A good trick to perform for your friends.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Small glass filled with about a cup to a cup and a half of water
  • Two AA batteries
  • Lighter or match
  1. Step 1

    Place the two AA batteries in the glass of water. Be sure to use glass only. Other types may melt from the heat. Leave the batteries in the water for about forty-five minutes.

  2. Step 2

    Remove the batteries and throw them away.

  3. Step 3

    Take a match or lighter and light the water!

  • Do not allow children to do this! Use caution and common sense!

on 7/1/2009 A detail you might include for your fire water trick is are the batteries of the standard variety or alkaline,lithium, nicad etc. ?

on 10/26/2008 Hmmm... I think I'll use this experiment soon in one of the classes I'm going to teach for my youth group. I'll have to think of how I can relate it to something Biblical. They love science projects mixed with a sermon. Thanks for a great article.
