Step 1
Start with fresh water that's been filtered to remove any impurities or you can buy bottled water or any number of specialty waters from your local grocery store. If you want a drink with a little more fizz, you can use fresh club soda or seltzer to create your flavored water. Pour your chosen water into a glass and get ready to be creative. It's time to add your choice of flavorings.

Step 2
Here Are Some Ideas:
* Add fresh lemon or lime juice.
* Add fresh cranberry or grape juice.
* Add a small amount of peppermint extract for a refreshing taste.
* Squeeze the juice of a fresh grapefruit into your water.
* Add flavored coffee syrup. There are hundreds of flavors available at coffee stores.
* Add mint leave to your water.
* Add slices of fresh cucumber.
* Add a small amount of jello powder to your water.
* Add Kool Aid or Crystal Light powder to your water.
* Add any of a variety of flavor extracts available at your grocery store. -
Step 3
There are so many options for flavoring your water that you'll never grow bored. Some people even get adventurous and try unconventional flavors such as chocolate water made with chocolate flavored coffee syrup and coconut water made with coconut extract. Use your imagination to come up with new flavored water creations.

Step 4
Now that you've added your flavoring, you may want to sweeten your water a bit, particularly if you used unsweetened flavor extracts when you flavored your water. If you don't want the extra sugar, add a little sugar substitute such as Splenda to your flavored water and you'll have a deliciously sweet concoction that's guaranteed to make it easier to drink your water every day.

Step 5
Once you've flavored and sweetened your water, it's time to retrieve a beautiful glass from the cabinet and fill it with cold ice cubes. Pour your flavored water on top, add a garnish, and you have a tasty, low calorie treat that's sure to satisfy your thirst.
