Once a year I make my extra rich Macaroni & Cheese for the Holidays. It is excellent. It is rich though! But once a-year is a treat!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

To make my "famous" Holiday Macaroni & Cheese you will need the following: 1 lb Elbow macaroni, 1 Tablespoon of Garlic Powder, 1 Tablespoon Salt, 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper. 2 sticks of Cracker Barrel extra Sharp Cheddar, 1 stick of Monterey Jack Cheese, 1/2 Cooper Sharp.
2 cups of Whole Milk, 1 stick of Butter.

You need to cut all cheeses into tiny squares. In med-large saucepan, place butter and all cheese squares, make sure you stir constantly or cheese will stick to saucepan and burn.

  2. Step 2

When cheese begins to melt, add milk stirring constantly. Then add garlic Powder, pepper and Salt. Keep stirring until all cheese is melted and begins to bubble. Turn off flame, cover and let sit.

In another saucepan bring about 3-4 Cups of water to boil. Add Macaroni, cook between 6-7 minutes (according to directions).

  3. Step 3

Remove Macaroni and drain excess water off in Colander. In a casserole dish add macaroni and pour cheese mixture until completely covered. Mix together well with large cooking spoon. Spread out across the casserole dish. Sprinkle with Breadcrumbs. Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes. You have one Delicious meal!!!

Tips & Warnings
  • In addition to sprinkling Bread Crumbs on top. You can also try some bacon bits.
  • Don't eat too much, it tastes great, but it is very rich, eat in moderation!
