This will cut down on the healing time and the pain of your fever blister.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Small bottle of "ALUM"
  • Wash Cloth
  • Water
  • Your Hand
  1. Step 1

1)Clean the fever blister very good with warm water without bursting it to make it bleed.

  2. Step 2

Wash your hands very good. Wet your middle finger and wet the fever blister very well so the ALUM will stick to it pretty thick.

  3. Step 3

Wash your hands very good again, wet your middle finger again and stick it down into the jar of ALUM and start putting it on your fever blister as thick as you can possibly get it.Try to do this before bedtime. You can get the ALUM at your local grocery store. It may take a couple of time but it will clear it up. I promise you it really works!!

Tips & Warnings
  • This is an old tradition that my family has used for years, It really does work!!
  • ALUM is very bitter and if you touch it with your tongue it will make you pucker.ALUM is used for canning fruits and veggies for the winter meals. It's not harmful because it's used for canning. Be careful not to stick your tongue out and touch it, if you do you want do it but one time. No Joke, it really works. Thanks and Good Luck, Jacksonly (Rex) rLd

on 12/16/2008 Great article. I have used alum and it works great. Tastes like a sour pickle (not that good, actually), but it's worth it!
