Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 8 1/2 X 8 1/2 X 2 inch baking pan

  1. Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit

    Assemble these ingredients:

    1 cup butter
    2 cups sifted flour
    1/3 cup sifted confectioner's sugar
    1/4 tsp salt

  2. Step 2

Cream the butter. Mix together the three dry ingredients and blend these into the butter until you have a stiff dough. Press the dough into an ungreased 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 x 2 inch pan and press the edges down. Pierce with a fork every 1/2 inch. Bake 25 - 30 minutes.

  3. Step 3

Remove from the oven leave in the pan and, while still warm, cut into 1 1/2 by 3 inch wedges. Let cool in the pan. When cool use a spatula to remove to a plate, cookie jar or tin.
