How to Make Great Veggie Pastry Puffs

These great pastry puffs are wonderful as a main course or as appetizers. They can be made vegetarian as suggested, or use your favorite ham instead.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Black Bean Garlic Sauce
  • 1 package crescent roll or other ready-to-bake square
  • 2 cheeses - cheddar and jack - grated
  • dill pickles
  • mustard
  • vegetarian ham or regular ham
  1. Step 1

    Grate cheeses and set aside.

  2. Step 2

    Slice veggie or real ham into small pieces and set aside.

  3. Step 3

    Assemble your ingredients and proceed.

  4. Step 4

    Unroll dough to square or rectangle shape.

  5. Step 5

    Spread dough with fine layer of Bean Sauce not quite to the edges.

  6. Step 6

    Spread with dab of mustard.

  7. Step 7

    Stack cut-up veggie ham or real ham slices on one side of dough

  8. Step 8

    Top with a bit of grated cheeses.

  9. Step 9

    Top with pickles.

  10. Step 10

    Fold dough over filling and pinch tight.

  11. Step 11

    Bake according to directions on dough package and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to pinch edges well closed or insides can leak out.
