Kielbasa is delicious served up this way!

Everybody loves cocktail weenies in sauce, but have you ever had kielbasa in sauce at a party or gathering? Inexpensive, simple to make and delicious, this is a great recipe that you can use for all of your gatherings... especially around the holiday season!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 beef Polish kielbasa - I usually use Hillshire Farms brand
  • 2 bottles bbq sauce - I like to use Sweet Baby Ray's Original
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar (packed)
  • large crock pot
  1. Step 1

Take your kielbasa and simply cut them into slices about 1/2 inch thick and toss them all into your crock pot. --You can cut them at a bit of an angle if you would like to give it a fancier touch!

  2. Step 2
    This sauce is the boss!
    This sauce is the boss!

Once the kielbasa is all cut up and in the crock pot, then empty both of your bottles of bbq sauce on top of them. Save the bottles aside in case you think the sauce is too thick, you can add a bit of water to the bottles and get out the last bit of sauce!

  3. Step 3

Finally, take your 1 1/2 cups brown sugar (packed) and add it to the crock pot. At this time you can stir, or simply "set it and forget it" as the contents will all blend together nicely on their own as the crock pot heats up.

  4. Step 4

Depending on your crock pot settings, you can either set it to high and cook for a shorter period of time, or set to low or slow cook. The result is a tangy and sweet kielbasa that all of your guests will love!

Tips & Warnings
  • For Halloween, tell your guests that this dish is called "Sliced Eel With Blood Sauce"!
  • For the holidays, cook and then serve with fancy tooth picks for your guests to eat as a snack.
  • This recipe can become very addictive! So beware, all of your friends and relatives will be asking you how you made it!
