How to Make Lemon Garlic Chicken & Rice

Here is a delicious recipe that the whole family can enjoy!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 Boneless,skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/8 Teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons of margarine or butter, divided
  • 1 (6.9 ounce) Package of RICE-A-RONI Chicken and Garlic Flavor
  • 2 Teaspoons of lemon juice
  • 1 Medium red or green pepper, chopped
  1. Step 1

    Sprinkle chicken with paprika and black pepper then set aside.

  2. Step 2

    In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of margarine. Add the chicken and cook for about 2 minutes on each side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  3. Step 3

    In the same skillet over medium heat, saute rice mix (without the seasoning) with the remaining 1 tablespoon of margarine until golden brown.

  4. Step 4

    Slowly add 2 cups of water, lemon juice and the special seasoning from the rice mix onto the skillet. Place the chicken over the rice and reduce the heat to low. Cover the skillet and let it simmer for 15 minutes.

  5. Step 5

    Stir in the bell pepper. Cover the skillet and cook for 5 minutes or until rice is tender and chicken is no longer pink inside. Serve and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • You can substitute lemon juice for orange juice!
