Learn to Play the Russian Roulette Drinking Game

Russian Roulette is a drinking game that can be played at home or at your local watering hole. It can be played with two players or more. Russian Roulette can be played using alcoholic beverages such as wine or beer, but is usually played with shots of hard alcohol. There is no object of the game except to get drunk, so it is not possible to play Russian Roulette with a non-alcoholic beverage. It is illegal to play Russian Roulette if you are under 21. Like most drinking games, the object of Russian Roulette is to get drunk in a quick amount of time. Follow the steps below to learn how to play the Russian Roulette Drinking Game.

From Quick Guide: Playing Roulette
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Alcohol
  • 1 die
  • 6 sticky notes
  • Sharpie marker
  • 5 shot glasses
  • 1 double shot glass
  1. Step 1

Set six shot glasses in a row on a table or other flat, sturdy surface. Write the numbers 1 through 6, one number on each of six sticky notes, and place the papers in order in front of the shot glasses.

  2. Step 2

Fill four shot glasses with hard liquor, one shot glass with a double shot or a stronger liquor, and leave one glass empty. If a player rolls the number that corresponds with the empty glass, they do not have to drink for that turn.

  3. Step 3

Decide who will go first. Instruct player one to roll the die. The number that the player rolls will correspond with one of the numbered shot glasses. This will determine whether they will drink a single shot, a double or strong shot, or nothing.

  4. Step 4

Refill the shot glasses to their original levels after every turn. Continue to play counterclockwise until players start to drop out.

  5. Step 5

Play until only one player remains. There is no object to Russian Roulette, except to get as drunk as possible, so encourage your friends to stop drinking when they have had enough.
