How to Decorate With Wallies

If you love the look of custom murals and stenciling but can't afford the price of hiring a professional artist to do the work, you may want to consider buying some Wallies. 1. Visit the Wallies website (listed in the Resources section below) to browse the wide selection of Wallie images for sale. You can find options to fit any room in your house and any taste. You can also look for wallies at crafts stores and fabric shops.

2. Consider buying a Wallie that looks like a Tuscan window, picket fence, view into a garden or Grecian relief to accent your kitchen, bathroom or bedroom. This is a great way to add more interest to the room in just a few minutes. Look for smaller Wallies that coordinate with a larger one to carry the design further through the room.

3. Select textural Wallies to accent the walls in your living room. You can find ones that look like carved tiles or ones with three-dimension swirls, along with many other unique shapes, textures and variations. Expect the images to jump right off of the walls with their depth. Also buy wallies that mimic crown molding and put them at the top of your wall to fool visitors into thinking you have the real thing. You can also use a strip of this type of molding Wallie on the sides of a plain table to make it look more special.

Tips & Warnings

• Plan for it to take only five or 10 minutes to attach a Wallie. To begin, you fold the Wallie in half, image-side down and and immerse it in a bucket of water, then center it in place on the wall using a level to be sure it is straight. (You can apply to either paint or wallpaper). Use a damp sponge to flatten the Wallie and smooth it out. Make sure there are no bumps or bubbles. If you don't like how the image looks, then simply lift it off and start over again.
