Cola has all kinds of uses besides being a sweet, fizzy treat. The drink's acidic properties also make it an excellent household helper. Pour the can of cola into a large glass measuring cup. Stir the cola with a spoon until most of the bubbles are gone. Let the nearly flat cola sit out on the counter for about an hour.

Flush the toilet and wait for the bowl to refill. Pour the flat cola into the toilet bowl and close the lid so animals and bug don't get to it. Let the toilet bowl soak for about an hour.

Scrub the bowl with a toilet brush to remove loosened debris and stains. Flush the toilet.

Repeat once weekly.

Make sure everyone in the family is aware of the cola treatment while it is taking place. The toilet shouldn't be used while the bowl is soaking.
