Using Media Mail to Ship on eBay
With the high cost of shipping things from one place to another, buyers on eBay are looking for the lowest price for shipping available. Books, magazines, DVDs and video cassettes are all considered media and can be shipped through the post office using media mail instead of the higher price of first class or parcel post. This is especially true if the package weighs more than one pound. When listing an item on eBay, choosing the media mail shipping option is only a click away.

Go to your eBay account and click on the ‘sell your item’ link. Fill in your title and description. Most items that qualify for media mail will also have the option of listing the ISBN number. If you fill this in, eBay will fill in many of the details of the item automatically, including pictures of the cover.

Add in any handling charges you wish the buyer to pay in the field provided on the form. This amount, along with the media mail shipping cost, will be the amount the buyer sees on the item screen as the total cost.
