Step 1
Visit store websites. Gone are the days when brides-to-be had to walk up and down store aisles choosing the items to be put on the registry. Most retail stores who have web sites also make gift registry possible online.
-
Step 2
Know the neccessities. Bakeware should be kept streamlined and to a minimum. Otherwise, you will have useless baking dishes taking up space in your cabinets. Know the types of meals that you are currently comfortable baking. Items such as a loaf pan, a 9x13 casserole dish, a cookie sheet and a pizza pan are common kitchen essentials for a novice baker.
-
Step 3
Go portable. Register for bakeware that comes equipped with sealable lids. Having lids to keep your bakeware covered will be an asset when you prepare a dish to take to an event. Having bakeware that has lids will also help you to keep leftovers neatly stacked in the refridgerator.
-
Step 4
Register for what will last. Register for glass bakeware that will be sure to last a lifetime. Glassware that is made to withstand oven temperatures will not break easily if thrown in the cabinet or accidentally dropped. Stoneware also makes great bakeware, but must be used often to "season."
-
Step 5
Avoid cheap non-stick metal. Cheap non-stick metal baking pans are often too thin to evenly distribute the heat to the food. The non-stick surface will eventually peel and render your wedding gift useless.
-
Step 6
Announce registry locations. Announce your registry locations to your wedding guests. Limit store registries to 3 or less.
