Instructions

    • 1

Start the decorating with paint on the walls. If your kitchen does not have a lot of open wall space, you can go full force with a Dr. Pepper paint color in maroon or reddish burgundy. However, if you have three or four large walls the color might be a bit much. Opt for a neutral color on all but one wall, with the final wall in maroon or burgundy.

Look online and at fabric stores for Dr. Pepper fabric. Alternatively, find material in white with maroon accents and fashion simple curtains with the fabric. You can also look for pre-made curtains in these colors, or buy white or beige curtains and sew on a maroon ruffle (see Resources below).

Decorate your table with the same or similar fabrics as your window treatments. A table runner and napkins, tablecloth or placemats will all add to your theme.

    • 4

Hang any Dr. Pepper collectibles or memorabilia you have collected around the room. Place like items in groups (signs, clocks or dinnerware, for example). If you have a collection of Dr. Pepper glasses or bottles, hang a small shelf on a prominent wall to display them (see Resources below).

    • 5

Use empty Dr. Pepper cans to add to your kitchen theme. Fill an empty can two-thirds full with water and freeze it. When it is frozen, use a hammer and nail to punch holes in a pattern around the sides of the can. Pour out the water as it melts and remove the top of the can with a sharp knife. Set a tea light inside and set on your table. Several clustered together will add to the appeal.
