Step 1
Get sponsors for your demolition car. These are people or businesses that give you money to place their ads on your vehicle. If you get a sponsor you should ask if they have any requests of ad placement. The larger areas on the demolition car should garner more money.

Stencil out the names and phone numbers of your sponsors on the pre-approved areas of the demolition car and then start painting your demolition car. Any kind of paint will do since you will be smashing the car to bits and pieces against other demolition cars.

Paint on the car number that you are assigned once you enter into the demolition derby. You can choose this number but you must register your car early to guarantee that you are going to get it. Paint the stenciled advertisement and your number in big bold strokes with your paint brushes. Any color paints work for this but if your car is dark, do not choose a dark paint. The point is to make the number and any ads stand out.

Paint on the extra stuff. You can write messages to friends and family or you can paint a masterpiece. There is no right or wrong way to paint a demolition car. Your imagination can soar here. Always wanted flames on the doors? Now is the time to paint them on. Want to be in a cop car? Paint your demolition car white and simulate flashing lights on top.

Let the painted demolition car dry for at least 24 hours. The best time to paint a demolition car is during a warm sunny day so that the paint dries quickly. Summertime is one of the most popular times for demolition derbies.
