If you are a teen girl, chances are that you want to meet teen boys. Meeting and talking to boys is simpler than it sounds. In fact boys are everywhere; in class, in the hall, at the mall, you name it. It’s just a matter of making yourself available and having the courage to talk to new people.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open your eyes. You have to mentally open yourself to all sorts of possibilities. Chances are that boys are not going to jump into your lap, so keep your eyes open, not just on the popular boys at school or the new boys in town, but everyone you come in contact with everyday.

  2. Step 2

Believe in yourself. If other girls have been able to talk to boys, you can too. It is all about having confidence in yourself. If you suspect that others are seeing you in a negative light, your anxiety will get the best of you and you will reflect just that.

  3. Step 3

Look your best. You don’t have to wear too-tight pants and too much makeup. You can look nice by dressing neatly, perhaps adding a scarf or jewelry, so that your outfit can make your inner beauty stand out. With makeup, remember that “less is more” and to keep your hair clean and out of your face so boys can see your eyes.

  4. Step 4

Introduce yourself. Sometimes teen boys can be shy too and don’t have the courage to come up to a girl and say hello. You can introduce yourself with a simple “hello” and a nice/sincere compliment. Chances are that he will appreciate the compliment and want to tell you all about himself. Think -- nothing ventured, nothing gained.

  5. Step 5

Go to parties and be a great hostess. People go to parties to have a good time and meet people. Pretend to be the hostess of the party and talk to everyone including guys you like. Make sure that everyone is taken care of and that everyone is having a good time, especially the boys that interest you. Make sure he has a soda or that he is not watching the party from the sidelines. Your politeness will not go unnoticed, and you just might make the eye of someone you never thought of.

  6. Step 6

Be active at school or within your community. By joining student organizations and community clubs you are definitely destined to meet people with your same interests. Meetings are a great casual way to meet boys outside your social group and you will have something in common to talk about with the boy you meet through a group.

  7. Step 7

Volunteer at a children’s hospital or senior center. You will be giving of your time in a meaningful way and you may meet a boy who is as generous as you with is time and heart.

  8. Step 8

Join a sport co-ed team. You will get to be around a whole new group of people including boys. If your school does not offer co-ed sports, think about bowling leagues, volleyball tournaments or other co-ed sport groups in your community.

Tips & Warnings
  • Think about a positive female role model and ask yourself what would she do? This action helps you believe in yourself and do better.
  • If you are not able to introduce yourself to someone you have your eye on, have someone you trust who knows that boy introduce you.
  • Don’t meet your honey where you make your money. Meeting a boy where you work can be a sticky situation, not to mention a great distraction. Think of the consequences that can happen if things don’t work out.
