How to Make Strawberry Ornaments

These are great decorations that can be used for all types of occasions. They can be used as Christmas tree ornaments or wreath ornaments around the holidays. Try creating a theme party like strawberry shortcake. Mix these decorations in. They can even be used as part of your decorations for the season change. Bring them out when spring time begins.

Things You'll Need

• Walnut
• Acrylic paint
• Acrylic spray sealer
• Green felt
• Glue
• Green embroidery floss

Instructions

1. 

   Paint a walnut red using acrylic paint. Allow it to dry completely.

2. 

   Paint small black dots all over the walnut. Allow this to dry completely as well.

3. Spray the entire walnut with acrylic spray. Coat it to seal the paints.

4. 

   Cut the leaf part and stem from the green felt. Poke a hole in the center of the leaf part with scissors or a sharp instrument. Poke the stem through.

5. Glue the leaf part onto the top of the walnut with a glue that holds permanently. Let the glue dry over night.

6. 

   Take three strands of green embroidery floss. Attach it to the leaf part with a needle. It can now be hung where you would to use it for decoration.

Tips & Warnings

• You can use plastic balls if nuts are not readily available.

• When inserting the needle, be careful to not prick your finger.
