Instructions

    • 1

Place a black poster board on the table. The long end should be facing you. Draw a vertical line down the middle of the poster board. Draw an arch from the top right hand corner to the bottom left hand corner.

    • 2

Use a silver or glittery marker to draw seven or eight lines. Draw the lines out from the upper left hand corner to the hedge of the arch. The lines should branch out to imitate a wheel spoke. Draw four rows of small arches between the lines to create a spider web.

    • 3

Repeat Steps 1 and 2. Draw a second web on the right side of the board. In this case, you will draw the " wheel spoke" lines from the upper right hand corner. When you are done, you should have two webs that meet in the middle at the top of the board.

    • 4

Trace over all the lines of "webbing" with a bright green color as well. Use your glitter glue to add depth and sparkle to your spider webs.

    • 5

Cut out around the webs, leaving at least two inches of extra board around the bottom edges. When you have cut the excess board away, you will have two spider webs.

    • 6

Hot glue small crystals on the web to simulate "dew drops." Apply glow-in-the-dark paint to the web and the spider for a glowing nighttime surprise.

    • 7

Draw a spooky, long-legged spider on one of the scraps of board. Cut it out. Embellish your spider with some glitter. Punch a small hole in one of the webs and another into your spider. Tie clear fishing line from the web to the spider.

    • 8

Hang your poster board spider webs in your doorway or window. Place one in each upper corner. Make sure the spider is hanging down.
