How to Add Twitter to a Blog
Twitter is a rapidly growing social networking resource that allows you to connect with people you know,and who have similar interests. If you're already publishing a blog, you can add an attractive Twitter badge to its sidebar, so visitors can see your latest tweets along with your blog posts. The Twitter badge updates in real time and gives you a chance to share even more thoughts, ideas and links with your social network.

Log in to your Twitter account. Enter your username and password. Signing in will take you to your Twitter updates page.

Select "Settings" from the menu bar. It's the fourth option from the left in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Clicking this option will take you to your account-management page.

Select the Twitter badge option. Scroll down to the "More Info URL" area to locate the hyperlink that states "You can also add Twitter to your site here." Clicking this link will take you to the Twitter Badges page.

Select your blog platform from the list of options. You can select Blogger, TypePad or "Other" if you have a WordPress blog or other CMS set up for your blog. Clicking on the icon or radio button will take you to the badge customization page.

Select your Twitter badge. You will have a choice of badges (widgets) to choose from, and each one can be customized with different colors, sizes or shapes. Make your selection and wait for the page to load with your customization options.

Customize your badge. Your color and size options will depend on the type of badge you have chosen. Select your favorite color and wait for the embedding code to load.

Copy the code to your clipboard. When you are satisfied with your selections, select the "Copy to Clipboard" button to save the embed code and prepare it for your blog.

Log into your blog admin page. Enter the username and password for your blog-administration page, and navigate to the area where you want your Twitter badge to appear.

Add the Twitter badge to your blog. Paste the copied code as HTML into the appropriate blog section; in most cases, this will be in the sidebar content of your blog.

Save all changes to the code modification and refresh your page. The Twitter badge with your most recent updates will begin to show up immediately on your blog.

Tips & Warnings
The embed code will update automatically with your selections; you will not need to save changes during the customization process.
Update your badge with new colors by creating a new badge and replacing the code of your existing one.
All of your tweets will appear in real time on your blog.
