Buying a greeting card can become quite expensive and sometimes you just cannot find the right one, so you opt for whatever you can get. Handwriting and making your own card can also get to be troublesome especially if your handwriting is not the best and your artistic skills are non-existent. Now you can get the best of both worlds by using Microsoft Office Publisher 2007. Create your own personalized greeting card for any occasion and stop spending money on expensive informal ones.

Click on the icon that says “Greeting Cards.” You will see a large variety of cards to choose from. I would suggest scrolling through to find the one most appropriate for your situation. There are holiday cards and thank you cards. These come in handy during the holidays when you know you will be sending multiple cards out to your friends and family. Once you have found the card that you like, double click on it to open the editor function for that card.

Move your mouse over the text boxes and double click. You will then be able to personalize the card by typing your own personal message into the text boxes. You can also add and remove pictures easily as well by using the “Insert” tab at the top. For a simple greeting card though, you can create it fairly quickly and easily. Once the cover is to your liking simply edit the rest of the pages of the card.

Look at the bottom of the screen, there will be page tabs with numbers on them from one to four. This indicates the page of the card. If you click on the page number it will pull up the page of the card that you can edit. Edit it and personalize it just as you did the front of the card. Once you are done be sure to save your work so you do not have to re-do it if it does not print properly.

5
Insert paper into your printer. If you can get colored paper or higher quality paper such as resume stock then your card will look even better. Insert the paper and print it in color or black and white, whatever you think would look the nicest. Let the ink dry before removing it from the printer and fold the card as indicated. You will be happy with the results and it will save you tons of money.
